Tillamook Farmer’s Co-Op Celebrates “Re-Grand Opening”
The mayor of Tillamook and chamber of commerce officials joined Tillamook Farmers Co-op management to celebrate a “re-grand opening” at the store on Thursday, Feb. 28. Founded in 1935, the Farmer’s Co-op recently switched fuel providers to Sinclair Oil Group, recognizable by their trademark green dinosaur logo.
Farmer’s Co-op general manager Laurie Wicker and office manager Briar Smith welcomed members of the public into the store in anticipation of an official ribbon cutting ceremony. A number of locals popped by to see what was new and to get a tasty BBQ sandwich on the house.
“We’re proud to be here, and we’re proud to have Sinclair as a part of our new branding,” Wicker said. “They’re a great partner and someone we’re looking forward to growing with in the future ... they’re part of our family now here in Tillamook and we’re happy to have them.”
Wicker also thanked the Farmer’s Co-op customers for their longstanding loyalty, announcing a one-day contest on Feb. 28 for a $100 gift card prize. Just snap a selfie photo with a green dinosaur and share it on the Tillamook Famer’s Co-op Facebook page. The winner will be announced Friday, March 1, in a live Facebook broadcast.
